Well, we have been through a roller coaster of emotions the last 2 days. We got a call this evening that the birthmother "came to her senses" and changed her mind. She signed the papers this afternoon. Because the baby was still in the care of the agency, CPS has allowed them to go forward with placing her with us! I knew she was meant to be ours when I saw her and we did not want to give up hope so easily. We still need to go to court which may not be until Monday since we lost most of this week and will be heading into the weekend soon. We have to get back on a plane tomorrow and head back to Chicago. Thanks for all the support and well wishes. We hope to be able to post pictures soon but need to clear it through the agency first. I will give you some info though:

On another baby note, we have some friends who are currently in PA waiting for their baby boy to be born. Please keep them in your thoughts and hope that their adoption process goes much smoother than ours! Good luck Kasey & Lee! We can't wait to meet Jameson.

We are so happy for you. I am so sorry you had to go through this process but want you to know that God's blessing will watch over you with this baby. Each of our kids (including 25 lb, 6 month Kevin) are gifts straight from Heaven and I hope you have the joy we do. May peace be with you.
