Happy 4 Month B-day!

Olivia turned 4 months on the 18th. I cannot believe she is already that old. Time is flying by so fast. I have been back to work now for a month. Olivia is going to the nanny that lives in the neighborhood and is doing really well with her. We decided to hire a cleaning lady that comes every two weeks. Let me tell you, it is definately worth the money. It is so nice to come home to a clean house and be able to enjoy the weekend without worrying about having to clean the house. Olivia went to the dr last week and got her 4 month shots. She did well and only cried for a minute or two. In other milestones, she starting rolling over a few weeks ago and can now do a complete roll (both ways). Brian got it on video but we are still trying to figure out how to post the video here on the blog. She is sleeping through the night (8P-6A) and started eating cereal. She has also become quite the chatterbox and has found her thumb. Here are her stats and some new pics.

Weight: 14lbs 4oz (60%)
Length: 23 1/4 in (50%)

3 months old!

I am sorry I have neglected to update the blog in almost a month. Olivia turned 3 mo on the 18th and we took a trip to Florida to visit Jen's family since the last post. Brian is in his 2 weeks of stay at home Dad time and then she will start going to childcare. We have found a lady in our neighborhood that is going to watch her everyday. We really like her and hope that it works out well. I can't believe how fast the time has flown by already. Brian weighed our little pumpkin yesterday and she came in at a whopping 13 lbs! Here are some recent pics...

You talking to me?

What a cutie!

Easter in Florida

We spent the Easter weekend in Florida and had a great time. Everytime we go back we really miss living there. We have not seen or been near water in a few years and it was nice to see the coast again. We stayed with Brian's Aunt Cleo and Uncle Howard. We ate alot of good southern food and Olivia got to hunt Easter eggs with all her cousins. Here are some pics from the trip.

Happy 2 Month Birthday!

Today is Olivia's 2 month birthday and we celebrated by going to the doctor and getting 5 shots. She did really well and only cried for a minute or two. She is now 21 inches (10%) and 10 lbs 8 oz (50%). Here are some recent pics:

Getting ready to go see the Easter Bunny!

Easter Bunny, here I come! If I can stay awake long enough to see you.

Olivia meets the Easter Bunny!

Olivia met the Easter Bunny yesterday. It took a few tries to get a decent shot and she only spit up once. You cannot see her Easter dress because the bunny hands are so big but it has easter eggs all over it. Daddy added his touch with the pink shoes! You can click on the picture to enlarge it and zoom in more.

Is it Spring yet?

We cannot take another crazy weather week here in Texas. We are definately ready for Spring. On Sunday, within 24 hours, we went from 80 degrees to a Tornado Watch to snow. And it happened again today. Yesterday was in the 70's, this is what we got today. Weird!

We changed our minds and decided to go with ladybugs as the theme of the nursery. We just got the crib and bedding put together. Here is a before and after picture.

Before After
Here is Olivia trying out the new digs. She really likes the ladybug mobile.

No more papparazzi please!

OK, so this picture is staged but I wanted a picture with her and Ginger. Roxy loves Olivia and is always all over her but Ginger wants nothing to do with her. So I staged this photo, notice how uncomfortable Ginger looks? And yes, she is laying in the dog bed.

Starting to smile real smiles (not gas).

Olivia's adoption buddy came over for their first visit yesterday. They are only 10 days apart. This is Jameson and he was born in PA but is now a Texan also! I am sure they will have many more play dates to come.

She really likes younger men! She kept playing with his hair and then hit him. Isn't that what you do when you really like a boy??

Happy 1 Month Birthday!

Today is Olivia's 1 month birthday. I can hardly believe she has been with us that long already. We should be in the clear from the birthfather standpoint by now also. They have 30 days to come forward and claim their parental rights to her. We are pretty sure this will not happen so we have another reason to celebrate! Here are some long awaited updated pictures. She went to the dr last week and now weighs a whopping 7.5lbs and is 19.5 in long. She is definately starting to catch up with other babies her age but is still a little small. Enjoy the pics.

Sleeping peacefully on her Boppy pillow.

Notice how enamored she is with Brian???

Roxy clearly thinks this play pillow is for her. She brings her toy to Olivia hoping she will throw it for her.

Big yawn!

First real bath. She did really well. No tears or anything. Until...she got out.

This is the lovely new pink towel that we dried her off with after her first bath. Take a good look at it, it will never look the same. The minute she got out of the bath and into the towel every bodily function available went loose (the 3 P's - pee, poop, and puke).
